The computer Era has shrunk the world beyond man's
imagination. Computer revolution is spreading practically in every arena of
human endeavour. Keeping in mind this diverse needs of IT, the curricular
design of the course offered by our department brings out the real potential
of the students to update their academic and reaserch activities.
Mere emphasis on theory would ultimately lead to an aversion in the learners
towards the subject. Hence these courses devotes a large amount of time to
practicals whereby the student can apply the concepts learned in the
classroom. Numerous assignments allow the lecturers to evaluate each
students progress.
Board of studies - Academic experts and Industrial experts are invited for
the board of studies meet and a detailed discussion with faculty members
prave way in updating the curriculum according to the current IT scenario.
Choice Based Credit System - The CBCS is introduced for the MCA course from
the acedemic year 2005-06 and it has been implemented for BCA from the year
2001-02. Through CBCS more electivies are being offered and the students
have their own options in choosing them. This helps them to specialize in a
particular area facilitating more opportunities in job market

Ward system has been implemented and the staff are
given a group of students under their control and they help the students in
their academic as well as personal problems. The department organizes model
tests, aptitude test, group discussion and contest in order to train final
and prefinal students to face interviews and competitions.

"United we stand, divided we fall" - as the saying goes, students
perform miracles when united to promote general awareness of the latest IT
trends. To improve the knowledge of our students, an exclusive association
named "PACE" - "People's Activator of the Computer
Era" was formed by our budding software professionals. Every week the
studetns actively participate in various activites. Thus we organize
activities and encourge the students to take part in inter departmental
and inter collegiate competitions.

To bring forth team spirit, communication skills,
leadership capabilities and knowledge enrichment for all the students ,
the department hosts the MCA meet - SIZZLERS every year. Sizzlers - a
professional extravaganza - an intercollegiate meet organized by our
department brings out a treasure trove of the talents in the students and
also emphasis on the importance of team work
