The Editorial
Greetings to all the loved ones!
Just as the sun dawns with all its splendor and grandeur with a few or no on lookers to gaze at and appreciate its beauty, many grand events take place within the portals of Fatima campus and many useful projects get inaugurated without much ado. In the academic year 2009-2010 every department had useful programs and the academic gatherings did contribute a great deal to the intellectual enrichment of the student community. A few departments organized international conferences quite successfully yet as unobtrusively as the flowers blossom in a garden. Many members of the staff have indeed scaled the heights of excellence.
The most important transition has been the change of guard.. After the retirement of Sr. A. Fatima, Sr. Jospin Nirmala has assumed charge as the sixth Principal of Fatima college.
As has been the custom the past few years, the Alumnae members on the staff extend a heartiest welcome with open hands.
We are eagerly awaiting to arrival.
Love and regards ,
Dr. Mrs. S.Geetha

RETIREMENT
We the management, staff, and students of Fatima bid adieu to our dear Principal Rev. Sr. A.Fatima.
.
REMINESCENCES
To Elysian Fields...
You came like a shooting star
From nowhere and faded away leaving a sinking heart
To ponder over umpteen unanswerable questions
To experience an emptiness in a crowded life
To yearn for your appearance once again
To quash the guilt of assumed wrongs
Losing my serenity in your search
In unknown jmaginary lands.
Still waiting to have a stealthy glimpse
Of that adored , pet star,
Who shared secretly my thoughts and feelings
Days drag on slowly suffocating my hopes
Of ever seeing you again in my sky.
Is this love sickness ? No, definitely not
But an immeasurable affection for a dear friend
Quite unknown - misunderstood by earthly rotten minds.
Many new stars appear and reappear
Making me scan for you in their midst
My heart races with minutes and hours
Groping for a healing miracle
To retrieve that eluding star. Mrs.Sangeeth
