Junior Jaycee

Junior Jaycee is a Global Organization providing individual development opportunities for Young People to be better citizens. Spread over 120 countries and a membership of over 5 lakhs, Junior Jaycee has its headquarters at Coral Gables, Florida, USA. Indian Junior Jaycee with its headquarters at Bombay is headed by a National President and five Executive vice- Presidents.

Objective:
The purpose of Junior Jaycee is to contribute to the advancement of the Global community by providing the opportunity for young people to develop their Leadership Skills, Social responsibility and fellowship necessary to create positive change.

Highlights:
Conducted seminars on various topics to develop the Leadership skills of the students.
Conducted seminars on various topics to motivate the students to render social service.
Adopted the village, Millakarnai and the following activities are being done there.
Children of that village are given Value Education & Moral Education.
Awareness programs are given to them through cultural activities.
Cleaning the IT Lab, MCA LAb & Arranging books in the Self-Financed Library.

JUNIOR JAYCEE REPORT (2007 – 2008)
The Junior Jaycee club was inaugurated by Mr. Henry Typhagne, Advocate, Director of People’s Watch on 5.07.07. The Junior Jaycee office bearers for the academic year 2007-2008 were elected on July 12th 2007.

CLUB ACTIVITIES

The activities of Jaycee club started on 12/07/2007.

Every Thursday, Five members are cleaning the IT lab and five members are cleaning the MCA lab.

Jul.12th 2007 – A Guest Lecture on ‘Blood Donation’ was given by Ms.Yalini Priya, Member of Blood Donar Club and Mr.Yagappan of Lion’s Club expressed his experience in donating the blood. A group of Junior Jaycee members cleaned our college campus to keep impact on clean environmental surroundings. Students cleaned the Garden by plucking the Grass.

Jul.19th 2007- Mr. Parthasarathy, President, Jaycee Madurai and Mr.Ramachandran, Jaycee member gave an Orientation Program on Jaycee and motivated the students to participate in Jaycee activities in full zeal.

Jul.26th 2007 – A group of Junior Jaycee members cleaned our college campus to keep impact on clean environmental surroundings. Students arranged the Library books in the SF-Library & Cleaned the Garden by plucking the grass.

Aug.9th 2007- Sr. Lucia, Coordinator, WEAT gave an Orientation Program on Social Service through various motivating activities.

Aug.16th 2007- Debate was conducted on the Topic ‘Caring for the Aged’.

Aug.23rd 2007- An awareness Program on ‘Greenary’ was given by Green Club students.

Aug 29th 2007 – A group of Junior Jaycee members went to visit the Mother Teresa Home. The students had interaction with the old people.

Sep 6th 2007 – Students shared their experience about the Old Age Home visit.

Sep 8th 2007 – On behalf of World Literacy day, we had a Cycle Rally from Fatima College to Paravai. Our members actively participated in the Rally. The motivation of the Rally is to give awareness to the society about the Literacy.

Sep.13th 2007 – A Guest Lecture on ‘Public Speaking’ was given by Dr.Mrs.Maria, Lecturer, Dept. of English.

Sep. 20th 2007 - Debate was conducted on the Topic ‘Literacy Vs Illiteracy’.

Sep. 26th 2007 – A group of Junior Jaycee members went to the village ‘Millakarnai’ to give awareness program on “Importance of Education” in order to increase their literacy level. Our members presented skits, dances and songs on the above topic.

Oct. 4th 2007 – Blood Donation Camp was conducted in Collaboration with RedCross.

Oct. 11th 2007 – A group of Junior Jaycee members cleaned our college campus to keep impact on clean environmental surroundings. Students arranged the Library books in the SF-Library & Cleaned the Garden by plucking the grass.

Oct. 25th 2007 – Presentations & Speech on the Topic ‘Poverty Level in India in 2020’.

Nov. 29th 2007 - A group of Junior Jaycee members cleaned our college campus to keep impact on clean environmental surroundings. Students arranged the Library books in the SF-Library.
