The purpose of the exhibition is to impart awareness and enrich the students of std 6 to std 9 of Government/Corporation schools.
Many schools lack the basic infrastructure facilities and having computers in the schools is beyond reach. Though they have computer subjects in the curriculum, it is taught as theory and some school children have not even had the luck of seeing a computer, if not use. So we have adopted the syllabus as the basis for the exhibits. This would help the students to have a feel of how the machine works and how to use

Students at the Exhibition
Field Trips/ Industrial Visits
EDUCATIONAL TOUR
We the students of third year Computer Science started our journey on
22nd September, 2006, at 10:30pm.We reached Munnar next day.
We visited The Mattupatty Dam and Echo Point and as a part of our industrial visit we visited the Pullivasal Tea Factory.
At the tea factory we were explained about the various processes involved in preparing tea powder. We came to know how the tender tea leaves are plucked from the field and brought to factories. We came to know how the tea leaves are shadow dried. After being dried the tea leaves were put into a large sieve and the dust were removed. Then the tea leaves are put into a huge churning and grinding machine.
The crushed tea leaves are made to pass through rollers, to make the tea leaf paste into small balls. After which they are put into the roaster. Now the tea powder is ready. This powder is sieved with the help of the fine sieve to remove the impurities. Then the tea powder is separated into various grades. The packed tea powder is sent to the packaging centre.
The same night we moved towards Cochin. On 24th morning we went for boating in the Arabian Sea. We saw the Cochin harbor and we also saw the ships loading and dispatching. We went to Malampuzha dam that evening. We had a bird’s eye view of the dam by traveling in rope car.

E-Content Development
Fatima College is venturing with the latest buzz “the e-content”.
The basic idea behind the e-content development in our College is
- To help students learn at their own place
- To take up on-line tests and to gain thorough knowledge in any chosen topic.
- Not to replace teachers but to reach the contents to students even in the absence of teachers and to help students.
- Regular class-room teaching will not be affected in any way.
The current scenario with regard to the implementation of e-content is
- One staff member representing one department has started preparing the e-material in their respective subject.
- Monthly once, the last Friday of each month, the e-content development members meet to discuss and enrich their knowledge.
- The technological support of hardware and software with regard to e-material production ate bought and installed.
Hardware: A Linux Server is established.
A intra network is established in the campus connecting all the departments
Software: i) Linux Operating System
a. LMS/ CMS is installed
b. Adobe presenter and Adobe Captivate
The above three tools assisting in e-material preparation is bought and installed.
