“The Red Cross – Junior Wing” is organized for the purpose of inculcating
the Youth of this country by creating
Awareness especially in relation to the care of their own Health and of
others
Understanding and acceptance of civic and Human responsibilities
Cultivation and maintenance of a spirit of service and helpfulness to others

Service to sick and suffering
promotion of National and International Friendship to develop the Mental and
Moral capacities of the Youth
History
The India Red Cross Society was established in 1920 by an act of Parliament
with its national headquarters in New Delhi. The President of India is the
patron of the Indian Red Cross Society. In November 1920, the Tamil Nadu
branch of IRCS was formed in Chennai. An active unit of Red Cross is
functioning in Fatima College.
